dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the contemplations on smoke-free policies: insights of the public on its impact and efficacy in Tagum City. The researchers employed the phenomenological study which describes the meaning for several individuals describing what all participants have in common as they experience a phenomenon. There were a total of 14 participants in this study and it was collected accordingly to determine the contemplations on smoke-free policies: insights of the public on its impact and efficacy in Tagum City. The following summaries of findings were drawn based on the result of the study. The views of the public on the effects of smoking in various areas. Three major themes emerged from the data collected on the views of the public on the effects of smoking in various areas such as Awareness of Health risks, Secondary smoking health risks, and Impact of smoking. On how they assess the impact of having a Smoke-Free Policy in the locality. From the data collected using the above questions, three themes came out from the responses such as Government policies, smoking at home, and Banning of smoking, and lastly the insights on the effectiveness of the smoke-free policy in the locality. Three major themes emerged from the data collected such as No smoking policy community benefits, Support of no smoking policy, and Reduction of smokers.en_US
