This study is to ascertain the degree of self-esteem of Social Work students in one of the universities in Davao City. Using a correlational technique, with the mean and T-test as statistical tools, the researcher used a non-experimental quantitative design. The respondents of the study were 50 Social Work students, of which 25 students or equivalent to fifty (50%) were first-year students, female first-year students were five, while male students were 20 individuals. On the other hand, the second-year Social Work students were composed of 25 individual students, of which 20 were female, and five were male. Results showed that the level of self- esteem of social work students has an overall mean of 2.66 which was moderate, indicating that the self-esteem level was sometimes presumed and was manifested occasionally. On a scale of 0.05 significance, the null hypothesis was tested. There was a significant difference in the level of self-esteem of Social Work students when analyzed by gender with an overall r is .436, which is significant at 0.05 because it is less than the 0.05 significance level set in this study. Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted.en_US
