dc.description.abstract | This research introduces the production of electricity from generators driven by turbines that convert the potential energy of falling or fast flowing water into energy. Before the operation of the coal that fired the power plant in Binugao, Toril, the main source of electricity in Mindanao Region is hydroelectric power in Iligan. Since Davao Region has a wide land area with a lot of undeveloped waterways, the development and construction of small hydroelectric generators will be a big help to the community in rural areas that cannot be accommodated and supplied with the distribution utilities covering the area. The main goal of this study was to design and implement brushless hydroelectric generator that aimed to develop a three-phase flux generator that energize a minimum power of 117 watts with an operating voltage of 12V DC. Fiber glass was used to cover and protect the coils in water to ensure its safety and stability when used. In attaining the best design and achieving the objectives of the research, the proponents studied the design standards and
realistic constraints in order to have a better and efficient hydroelectric power generator. The constraints that were considered were the following: Manufacturability, Sustainability as well as Eco-friendly and Economic
characteristics. The testing was done at New Corella, Panas Waterfalls. The results of the study showed that the developed design for the brushless hydro electric generator has the potential to serve as a back-up power and supply power to rural communities. | en_US |
