| dc.description.abstract | This study explores the views of registered social workers handling juvenile recidivism cases. This qualitative study was conducted using the phenomenological method. The seven participants were purposively selected to be interviewed via platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom. The data analysis results reveal interesting themes regarding the experiences, challenges, coping strategies, and insights of the social workers in handling juvenile recidivism cases. Themes such as handling diverse cases, facilitating and gathering all the information, and feeling a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction are revealed in experiences. Themes that frequently appear in challenges include dealing with returned clients, lack of support from family and community, and having limited resources and information. Reviewing the case to gain understanding, having recreational activities, need constant Communication, and giving proper attention are common themes in the coping strategy of social workers. Last but not least, the themes that emerged from social workers' insights included attending seminars to learn more about juvenile cases, being grateful for small things, being more dedicated, and strengthening our connections. The gathered data from the participants’ will serve as a guide on people's awareness and understanding of why juveniles repeatedly violate laws imposed in our society. Finally, the study implies how social workers guide and assist juveniles throughout the helping process from the assessment to the evaluation phase. It exhibits social workers' techniques and strategies to perform their roles to assist and guide juveniles in achieving changes and development in society. | en_US |
