dc.description.abstractThis research seeks to describe the behavior of student mothers in carrying out their dual roles in accessing and participating in higher education. The researchers used a qualitative approach and phenomenological method of research. Seven participants were purposively selected aged 24-30. The researchers also used a one-on-one interview via online platforms. After careful analyses, the researchers were able to unravel themes related to the challenges and coping of student mothers. These are Difficulties in Balancing Responsibilities, Feelings of Stress, Anxiety, and Irritability, Challenges with Priorities and Lack of Time with the Family. For the coping mechanisms of student mothers, the themes are Spending Quality Time with Family, Managing Time Well, Positive Self-Taking with a Positive Mindset, Praying and Keeping the Faith and from Support Systems. Last, for the insights of the student mothers, the unraveled themes are Challenges in Motherhood, Importance of Goal Setting and Significant of Balancing Time and Roles. The findings may serve as basis for intervention of social workers with various individuals who experience role conflict.en_US
