dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the level of parents' perception of substance abuse. The study used a quantitative descriptive survey method among 50 respondents in Davao City. It was found out that many parents were concerned about the behavioral changes in their children. Also, it was revealed that the risk of drug use among adolescents can be moderated or increased by individual and psychosocial factors. The respondents emphasized the importance of good communication in improving the parent-adolescent relationship. Future researchers may use this study as reference about substance abuse and to widen the scope of the study.en_US
