Geotechnical investigation reports are vital in understanding the site conditions for numerous engineering projects and developments, particularly in developing cities like Davao City. The number of soil tests is escalating daily due to their necessity in hazard planning and construction procedures, driven by the increasing demands for building construction. The study highlights the importance of gathering trustworthy information from geotechnical results and studies, which are crucial for determining site conditions, making recommendations and submitting building permit applications to government facilities. With this information, the researchers aim to create a soil-bearing capacity reference map for Davao City using the requested data and available soil test reports from the private and public sectors. This initiative will provide engineers with essential knowledge about soil stability without requiring costly and time-consuming new tests, thus aiding them in strategizing projects effectively. For shallow foundations, depths of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 meters were considered in this study. The maps revealed that a significant area of Davao City is suitable for shallow foundations. This study helps engineers plan their construction projects more effectively. They can now identify specific sites appropriate for different kinds of building foundations, avoiding extensive soil tests. Additionally, it provides engineers and urban planners valuable insights essential for the resilient and sustainable development of building projects in Davao City.en_US
