Students computer literacy: basis for a BEED students training on information and communication technology (ICT) enhancement program

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct an investigation involving the level of computer literacy on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of BEED students of UMPC in the Island Garden City of Samal. The researchers, who are also BEED students observed that BEED students are very much willing to improve their performance in information and communication technology particularly in the areas of system operation, computer operation, design and modification of resources, and management. The researchers used the descriptive survey method of research employing the adopted questionnaire as data gathering instrument. it is descriptive since it assessed the level of literacy of BEED students. The respondents of the study were University of Mindanao - Peñaplata College (UMPC) BEED students of School Year 2015-2106. It consists of 91 first year and second year students.
