dc.description.abstractThe research study entitled "Income and Saving Allocation of Fishermen in Igacos" was conducted to sought what is the daily income of fishermen in terms of how they allocate, spend and save their income from fishing. Their saving allocation in terms of education, retirement, insurance and family needs of the fishermen. The researchers used a descriptive correlation method employing a validated questionnaire as data gathering instrument. This study was conducted to the 325 fishermen of Island Garden City of Samal. The statistical tool used in analyzing and interpreting the data selected was the mean. Based on the obtain data the researchers found that the average daily income of fishermen has a descriptive equivalent of low between PHP 7,890 to PHP 15,780 per month. The level of saving allocation of fishermen has also a descriptive equivalent of moderate. Their saving allocation was measured thru their saving allocation for the education, insurance, retirement, and family needs. The data obtained show that the saving allocation of fishermen has a moderate level, which means that they save moest for the education, retirement, insurance and family needs.en_US
