dc.description.abstractThis study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) at Anonang, Aumbay and Del Monte Elementary Schools in the Island Garden City of Samal. This study utilized a multiple case study qualitative research method, which involves an in-depth interview of several cases within a real-life context on the implementation of SBFP in three schools. The approach allows for a detailed, comparative analysis of each case to identify similarities and differences. Data collection methods typically include interviews, observations, and document analysis. In analyzing qualititave data, thematic analysis and cross-case synthesis are employed to systematically analyze and interpret the findings. Results showed effective program management, positive impact, strong collaboration, and efficient implementation, but also identified challenges sushc as financial problems, funding constraints, and lack of sustainability. Coping mechanism included financial aid, GPP initiatives, external and parental support, partnerships and knowledge enhancement. The study highlights the crucial role of an active school principal in sustaining the SBFP by seeking community partnerships to supplement inadequate DepEd support, ensuring the smooth delivery of nutritious meals, and enhancing students' health, well-being, and academic success.en_US
