This study aims to determine the knowledge, attitude, and practices on the sustainability of Mangrove trees in Brgy. Peñaplata Samal Disctrict Island Garden City of Samal. In order to draw interferences and compare various variables or groups, researchers used a quantitative-comparative design, which is based on the comparison and analysis of quantitative data. A total of 355 respondents were randomly selected from the total population of 4,583 in the said barangay. ANOVA, t-test, and mean were the statistical tools used to analyze the data after a survey questionnaire was given to a sample population. It was found out that the level of knowledge, attitude, and practice about the sustainability of mangrove trees is extremely high. This means that most people of Barangay Peñaplata were aware and understood the purposes and benefits of the mangroves and its sustainability. This further suggests that individuals are not only aware of the significance of mangroves; but also have demonstrated their actions and interests in mangrove sustainability. Results show that there are no significant differences in respondents' knowledge, attitudes and actions about the sustainability of mangrove tress based on gender or employment sector. This means that men and women have the same knowledge, attitudes, and practices about the sutainability of mangrove trees. More likely, there are no significant differences in knowledge, attitude, or actions related to mangrove sustainability based on occupational catergory. This means that they all had the same knowledge, attitude, and practices on mangrove sustainability, regardless of whether they worked in the private, public, self-employed, or jobless sectors. The researchers concluded that the majority of participants are knowledgeable and have acquired good attitudes and practices with high awareness that shed light on the significance, benefits, and sustainability of mangroves for the environment and their community.en_US
