| dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to evaluate disaster preparedness, knowledge, and adaptation among intermediate students at Camudmud Elementary School. Using a quantitative descriptive cross-sectional method, data from seventy students in Grade 4 to 6 were analyzed by age, grade level, and gender. Mean, t-test, and ANOVA were used for analysis. Results revealed that there is no significant difference in disaster preparedness between male and female students and still no significant difference between students aged nine to ten and those aged eleven to thirteen. Additionally, no significant difference was found in students' disaster preparedness when analyzed by grade level. Based on the findings, the level of disaster preparedness of students in Camudmud Elementary School generally exhibit a high level of disaster preparedness as evidenced by their confidence in school preparedness, and willingness to engage in discussions about disaster with various groups. Overall results emphasize how crucial it is to have inclusive, effective, and context-sensitive disaster risk reduction (DRR) programs included in school curricula. It is advisable to maintain and reinforce existing initiatives aimed at disaster preparedness, including sharing knowledge, learning from experts, and instilling confidence in school preparedness measures. | en_US |
