dc.description.abstractThe study determined the level of knowledge and attitudes toward waste management among students at UM Peñaplata college. This study used a quantitative approach as a research design, implying that it primarily depends on numerical data and statistical analysis to derive significant insights. One hundred eighty (180) respondents, determined using random sampling, participated in the survey. Pearson product-moment correlation and mean were used as statistical tools to assessed the correlation between environmental knowledge and attitudes and the levels of the two variables. Researchers adapted a questionnaire to gather data. Findings revealed that when a student is knowledgeable about waste management, it influences their sense of responsibility, leading them to participate in activities such as proper segregation and recycling. The results are evident. Regarding the overall correlation between the variables, knowledge significantly affects as student's attitude toward waste management. Hence, based on the results, recommendations suggest that schools and the community should continue to implement symposiums on waste management, enabling students to live in an environmentally literate manner.en_US
