dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to assess the fishermen facing financial stress in the Island Garden City of Samal. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method, comparing different groups within the sample. The research instrument used was an adopted questionnaire, which assessed how to fishermen in IGACOS were stressed. The data collected were analyzed using appropriate descriptive methods and analysis of variance (ANOVA). Moreover, 100 fishermen participated in the study using a survey questionnaire. The result showed that the physiological response and sensory response have the highest mean of the high level of stress of the fishermen, and the lowest mean is 3.63 mean, which is the response: physiological response. Fishermen often face financial stress due to various factors. Hence, fishermen's income varies significantly based on their experience and working hours. For instance, bad weather conditions can risk their safety and affect their income due to a lack of job opportunities in the market. This can lead to a high level of stress among the fishermen. The financial stress experienced by fishermen is a significant concern due to the challenging nd risky nature of their occupation. Fishermen often face high levels of financial pressure from various factors such as unpredictable income, economic uncertainties, and the demanding costs associated with their profession. The local government should create livelihood programs for fishermen and their wives. | en_US |
