dc.description.abstractAcademic performance is the measurement of student achievement across various academic subjects. However, there are instances that students failed to do certain task. It is because of anxiety which is the most common problem that every student encountered in having oral performances. It happened when students started to perform and they feel that they are the focus of the attention of their classmates and teacher. Anxiety can affect the student’s productivity and academic performance in many ways. This study analyzed the level of student’s anxiety in oral recitation and their academic performance. Also, to determine the significant relationship between the two variables. There were 178 randomly selected DTE students participated in this study. Furthermore, this research work uses a descriptive design with Likert’s scale as being used in gathering data. After obtaining the data, the data were analyzed using weighted mean. The results shows that the student’s anxiety in oral recitation was in moderate level which means that anxiety in oral recitation were sometimes observed. Meanwhile, the results of their academic were low due to the effect of anxiety. Therefore, the results revealed that there is no significant relationship between anxiety in oral recitation and academic performance.en_US
