dc.description.abstract | The primary aim of this research is to investigate the current state of knowledge regarding the enablers and barriers of digital transactions among baby boomers in Davao City. This paper focuses on older adults' e-wallet and mobile banking experiences, where digital transactions have been growing, to provide a perspective on how they adapt to this trend. The lack of experience with recent technological advancements and age-related deficiencies makes it less attractive for aging people to adopt new technologies such as smartphones. This is directly related to the elderly's perception of whether new technology can benefit their lives. To explore their banking practices and challenges, we conducted a face-to-face survey with fifty older adults, fifty-seven and above, from different areas of Davao City. This study was conducted using a quantitative research design as mean and standard deviation, Mann-Whitney
U Test and Kruskal-Wallis Test used as the statistical tools, and the information was gathered using a survey questionnaire to achieve the researcher's aims. The results show that older adults Using digital financial services platforms could increase their productivity with the highest mean score. The main concerns gathered by them are about security and usability. Nonetheless, they hold a positive attitude towards digital platforms. Interestingly, based on the results, there was no significant difference between Digital Adaptation and Demographic Indicators. | en_US |
