Every Mindanao ethnic group uses the ensemble chime gong known as kulintang. The kulintang is one of the highly valued by all ethnic groups because it is an important component of their culture. The typical kulintang today consist of eight gongs, ranging in size from largest to smallest. From lowest to highest, these gongs are stacked on top of the wooden rack that is braced with strong strings. The kulintang, a musical instrument used by several ethnic groups in Mindanao, has a unique, constructed sound. The majority of kulintang playing happened during occasions, including weddings, ceremonies, contest, festivals, and entertainment. Despite the fact that kulintang has continued to thrive over the years and that each ethnic group has its own method of preservation, young people are losing interest. The purpose of this artistic and academic research is to ascertain the factors that led the young Kagan to lose interest in kulintang playing. As a result, the researcher is concentrating on Kagan group, particularly the young people. The study is useful because it informs everyone that is possible for a person's interest to fade over time. The study's objective is to name, identify, and acknowledge the significance of Kagan cultural practices, particularly in kulintang playing. In order to convey the significance of kulintang, the researcher plans to produce both data and real-life replica of an artwork that doesn't produce the same sound as the original.en_US
