dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study is to understand and explore the various political perspectives present in Filipino films, as well as the perspectives of the participants on the political tones found in films The researchers will also look at how the political tones in these Filipino films effect the audience's perceptions in this study. Responses from the seven (7) informants for the in-depth interview (IDI) and seven (7) participants for the focus group discussion (FGD) were obtained using the validated interview guide. there were four essential themes generated which strong power use of tone, political tone convinces or persuade one’s political perspectives, movies influence political opinions and perspectives, and immersion. On the insights of audience on the importance of political tone in movies there were five essential themes emerged: educate the youth, help how to choose a leader, enlighten concerning dirty politics, motivation in learning regarding politics, and accessible for students learning politics. Lastly on how political tone affect the views of the audience, there were four essential themes emerged; political tone is accommodating the politician or leader, political tone is great in delivering, corruption and crab mentality in both movies and real life and being held responsible is one of the solutions to political issue. Finally, this research has major ramifications, valuable insights, and important associated topics, all of which demand further research.en_US
