dc.description.abstractThis study is entitled Analysis of Students Written Corpora: Implication in Syntax. A syntactic analysis which aims to know the teacher's insights about the written outputs of students. An in-depth interview (IDI) and focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted to 14 teachers, 7 for in-depth interview and 7 for focus group discussion. The participants were currently teaching at Mabuhay National High School. We collected 26 pieces of written outputs for research question number one, and gathered 4themes for the research question number two. The accommodated data from the study was coded, analyzed using data reduction, thematic analysis, drawing conclusions and verification. The analyzing data from research question number two showed the participant's insights on the effective use of rubrics, highlight grammatical errors, provide intervention to improve student grammar, give an appropriate and honest feedback are the four themes emerged in the interview. In summary, syntax is a vital branch of linguistics that helps students create grammatically correct sentences in the written corpora. It provides a sense of literacy about the rules that governed syntax in writing.en_US
