Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the level of effectiveness and performance of firefighters in Bansalan Davao del Sur. The researchers aim to determine the significance of the relationship between the level of effectiveness and performance of firefighters in terms of their age, gender and civil status. The study was conducted using the descriptive survey method of research by which the researchers administered personally the questions to the residents of the chosen Barangay with a sample size of 371 participants. The study resulted in data and findings that determined the level of effectiveness and performance of firefighters which is high. Based on the findings and conclusions the researchers recommend that the firefighters must fully conduct a fire safety inspection to the establishment or facility to prevent the cause and origin of fire. Additionally, they must conduct seminars and fire drills to the barangays to fully alert the public in the prevention and suppression of fire, they must have a conditional fire truck so that they can immediately proceed to the fire scene and a complete material and equipment when rescuing. The researchers would like to recommend that the firefighters must make sure that they are wearing a complete gear in rescuing and suppressing fire. They must also be always alert and prepared to attend to the residents any time when they need them.
