The level of efficiency of the Barangay peacekeeping action in Barangay Tubod, Bansalan, Davao del Sur

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of efficiency of the barangay peacekeeping action team in Barangay Tubod, Bansalan Davao del Sur. The researchers aim to determine the significant difference in the level of efficiency of the barangay peacekeeping action team when respondents are analyzed by educational attainment. The study was conducted using the descriptive correlation method. The researchers administered personally the questionnaire to the chosen residents of Barangay Tubod, Bansalan Davao del Sur with 332 participants. The studied data and findings to determine the level of efficiency of the barangay peacekeeping action team resulted as high. There is a significant difference in the level of efficiency of the barangay peacekeeping action team in Barangay Tubod, Bansalan Davao del Sur and was tested belo 0.05 level of significance. Based on the findings and conclusions, the researchers would like to recommend that the barangay peacekeeping officer should always do more effective ways to earn or gain the trust from the community. In as much as the level of efficiency of the barangay officers is concerned, the researchers would also like to enhance that the Barangay Peacekeeping action team should do monthly awareness seminars for the parents on how to handle their children in order to prevent them from committing dangerous activities. Further, the people of the community must be aware of their responsibilities not just the officer who was being tasked. In order to achieve a peaceful community, everyone must be encouraged to cooperate for everyone’s safety.
