dc.description.abstractThis study determined the domain of professional learning community practices influences student engagement. The non-experimental quantitative research design using correlational technique was used in this study and the statistical tools were the mean, Pearson r, and regression. An adapted questionnaire measured the level of professional learning community practices and student engagement. There were 400 respondents from the six secondary schools in Davao City of cluster 4 area. Findings revealed that professional learning community practices was very high and the student engagement was high. Therefore, the shared and supportive leaderships, shared values and vision, collective learning and application, shared personal practice and supportive conditions are very high. While the engagement of students in terms of cognitive, behavioral and emotional are high. The result further showed that professional learning community practices is significantly correlated with the student engagement. It was noted that among the indicators of professional learning community practices, shared personal practice best influences student engagement.
