This study investigated the experiences of Junior High School students on the integration of modular learning modality amidst the new normal education. It explored and described the experiences of Junior High School students from a public integrated school in Liboganon, Tagum City. In the context of this study, a modular learning modality was generally defined as learning that happens between the teacher and the students who are geographically far in terms of location from each other during the time of the instruction. Hence, to gather more experiences and insights about the phenomena, the researchers conducted qualitative research and interviewed 10 participants, 5 for in-depth and 5 for the focus group. The phenomenological approach was applicable for this study since its strength is in describing lived human experiences. This study employed thematic analysis as a method of analyzing qualitative data. After analyzing the responses of participants about their experiences in relation to the integration of modular learning modality amidst the new normal education, the following themes emerged: (a) Difficulty in understanding unexplained lessons due to teacher's absence; (b) Difficulty in experimentation; (c) Difficulty in completing tasks/activities; and (d) Inability to maximize learning. In addition, the participants enunciated on how they get through the difficulties of the integration of the modular learning modality amidst the new normal education, this also came up with four themes namely (a) Seek out for help from family members; (b) Utilize internet in searching for answers; (c) Study & understand lessons; and (d) Exercise autonomy in learning; Moreover, participants also shared their insights that they can also share to the academe in relation modular learning modality. To encapsulate it up, the seven themes emerged (a) Teacher's discussion is vital in the acquisition of learning; (b Face-to-face learning is far different from modular learning; (c) Studying is essential key for understanding; (d) Self-reliance is important; (e) Learning is difficult; (f) Strive harder to learn the lesson; and (g) Learning transpires despite the challenges encountered.en_US
