Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the level of leadership style and the level of the performance of the police personnel in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. The researchers aimed to determine the significance of the relationship between the level of the leadership style and the level of the performance of the police personnel in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. The study was conducted using the descriptive survey method of research by which the researchers administered personally the questions to the selected police personnel to evaluate the level of the leadership style and also to the selected bara gay officials representing the community to evaluate the level of performance of the police personnel. The study resulted in data and findings which determined that the level of leadership style of the police personnel in Bansalan, Davao del Sur is high too. It was found out that there is a significant relationship between leadership style and the performance of police personnel in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. As the outcome of the study particularly on the level of leadership styles of the police personnel is high, the researchers recommended that the police personnel must retain or continue the good leadership style the democratic Style of leadership is rendering services and in leading its organization and in the community and must continue the good and productive performance in the performing their duties and must strive more in living with harmony especially in the community in order for them to be comfortable and to learn how to build up unity to prosperity.
