dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine the perception of 4th year Criminology students of University of Mindanao Bansalan College on their communication skills and academic performance. The researchers aim to determine the significant relationship between the communication skills and academic performance of 4th year Criminology students. The study was conducted using a descriptive correlation method. The researchers administered the questionnaire to the 4th year Criminology students of University of Mindanao with 55 participants. The study resulted in data and findings that the perception of 4th year Criminology students on their communication skills and academic performance is high. The significant level between the communication skills and academic performance of the students was tested at 0.05 level of significance. Thus, the decision on hypothesis is significant which means that there is a significant relationship between the two variables. Based on findings and conclusion the researcher would recommend that the students must give more time to study and read books in order to enhance their knowledge not only to focus themselves in writings but also in reading comprehension. In as much as the level of academic performance of criminology students must continuously endeavor to enhance their field of interests as well as to function satisfactory in their own academic performance.en_US
