dc.description.abstract | Coping with stress has become more and more difficult each day. With the rising stress problem, coping mechanisms have assumed great importance in everyday life because everyone can do nothing to manage stress without them. The study aims to determine the domain of personal stress best influences and the coping mechanisms among banking employees. The study used a quantitative non-experimental research method using descriptive-correlational techniques with 100 employees from selected rural banks in Davao City covered in the study using snowball sampling. In this research design, the researcher determined whether there is an important relationship between personal stress and coping mechanisms among banking employees. The study examined the relationship between personal stress and coping mechanisms among banking employees. The results indicated that personal stress levels were generally low in emotional, behavioral, and sleep indicators while moderate in personal habits and physical indicators, resulting in an overall low-stress level. The coping mechanisms were found to be moderate in acceptance, active coping, use of emotional and social support, and humor, while high in religious coping, leading to an overall moderate level of coping. Interestingly, the study did not find a significant relationship between personal stress and coping mechanisms among banking employees. | en_US |
