dc.description.abstractThis study determined which of the parent choices for preschool education best influences the parent-child connectedness in Lupon West District, Davao Oriental, Philippines. The study employed the quantitative, non-experimental research design using correlational technique. The respondents were 252 public elementary parents using the random sampling procedure. Pearson r and regression analysis were the statistical tools used in this study. Moreover, adapted survey questionnaires were used to measure parent choice for preschool education and parent-child connectedness. The result showed that the level of parent choices for preschool education was very high and the parent­child connectedness was also very high. In addition, data showed that there was a significant relationship between the parent choice for preschool education and parent-child connectedness while the overall parent choice for preschool education significantly influenced the parent-child connectedness. In their singular capacities, all the parent choices for preschool education significantly influenced the parent-child connectedness. Among the five choices for preschool education, parents' need was the domain that best influences parent-child connectedness.
