Community awareness on internal affairs service

Abstract

This research paper was conducted to determine the perception of selected community residents on the effectiveness of the investigation services of PNP in Davao City. There were a total of two hundred fifty (250) in two barangay’s as respondents in this study. The researchers employed descriptive survey method, and a self-made survey questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. The instrument used in the study was validated by the research adviser and three validators from the faculty of College of Criminal Justice Education. The statistical tools that were used by the respondents were Frequency Percentage and Average Weighted Score (MEAN) and Descriptive Rating was used to analyse the research result and ANOVA T-test were used by the statistician to analyse the hypothesis. The findings of this study revealed the demographic profile manifested no significant differences on the level of competence on their perception on effectiveness of the PNP on Investigation.
