Campus and off-campus safety perceptions of the University of Mindano students

The primary purpose of this study is to enable the researcher to determine the
campus and off-campus safety perception of University of Mindanao students.
The research design that was employed in this study is a Descriptive Survey
Method. Conceptualize questionnaires were utilized in this research to evaluate
the level of campus and off-campus safety perceptions. Survey questionnaires
were dispensed to 400 students from University of Mindanao, Matina Campus.
Based on the findings of the research revealed that highest number of
respondents in terms of gender belongs to the male, greater number of
respondents between the age where mostly are 18-29 years old and research
findings revealed in terms of year standing the greatest number of respondents
are 1st years students. Study found out that the University of Mindanao students
perception on the capacity of campus were described as very high, while on
off-campus safety describes high. In addition, there is a strong positive
relationship between the two variables
