This study entitled "The Learning Style and Preferred Teaching Strategies of the Grade VI pupils in Island Garden City of Samal" was conducted to determine the learning style and preferred teaching strategies of Grade VI pupils. A quantitative-descriptive research design was used in this study. The adapted survey questionnaire was validated to gather the necessary data. These were collected from one hundred fifty (150) respondents from three (3) selected schools in Island Garden City of Samal. The respondents were given a survey questionnaire to answer thoroughly with the aid of validated questionnaires. Data were analyzed and interpreted by using the Likert type scale. The findings revealed that the majority of the students' learning styles in Grade VI are visual. It has been observed that they learned better through when they see pictures, diagrams, flow charts, and films, and their preferred teaching strategy is through lecture-discussion. The school administration and teachers may benefit from this research study by having an initial idea to improve the use of visual materials as an aid in teaching and to indicate that lectures are probably the better teaching methods in many circumstances and for the Grade VI students.
