Bayon-on, Kristine Jane P.; Diamalodin, Saoib M.; Paliquit, Jake H.
The purpose of this study was to examine the level of seriousness on different issues about school safety and security as well as the strategies in making school safe and secure. It also scrutinized the significant relationship between seriousness of issues and strategies toward the school safety and security. The study used a descriptive-correlational research design with sample of 637 Grade 9 and 10 DCNHS students selected employing stratified random sampling, with the aid of mean and pearson product moment correlation as statistical tools. Results revealed that students’ perception on the strategies to make the school safe can influence a lot and can serve as a contributory factor in uplifting high levels of school safety and security. The students’ perception on the strategies to make the school safe held the greater significance towards students’ academic life. The findings indicated that there is a low significant relationship between seriousness of issues and strategies toward school and safety and security. Hence, the proposed null hypothesis has been rejected.

Fulanqui, Jastine Meggy S.; Mangondag, Jaymark V.; Rebucas, Ruel A.
The purpose of this study was to examine the level of attitudes of Digos City residents in domestic violence and also scrutinized the significant difference between attitudes of Digos City residents toward domestic violence in terms of profile. It was participated by 375 Digos City residents employing random sampling, with the aid of mean, frequency, and ANOVA as statiscal tools, utilizing descriptive-comparative research design. Results revealed that the demographic profile of Digos City residents in domestic violence is less evident, which means that women and men can either be victims and perpetrators toward domestic violence. Lastly, there is a significant difference between the level of attitudes of Digos City residents in domestic violence; hence, the failure to accept the formulated null hypothesis.

<title>Board review program as predictors of performance in the licensure exam for criminologist</title>
<link>https://repository.umindanao.edu.ph/handle/20.500.14045/857</link>
<description>Board review program as predictors of performance in the licensure exam for criminologist
Dolor, Kenneth Roy; Mansueto, Tyrone; Lapaz, Juven
This study is conducted to interpret the performance of Criminology graduates who took the Licensure Examination, taking into their internal and external Board Review Programs as predictors if they can pass the exam. Under the umbrella of quantitative research design, this study is aimed at answering four research problems. This includes the performance of Criminology students in the pre-review on specific areas; their performance in the actual review on the same subject; their performance on the Licensure Examination; and the subject cluster which significantly contribute to the odds of passing the board exam. And after a thorough and deliberate process of acquiring, analyzing and interpreting data, the researchers were able to extract the results that among the subject during the pre-review, the respondents perform better in correctional administration, crime detection and investigation, criminal sociology, and criminalistics;(2) that they have performed poorly in the actual review;(3) that their performance in the board exam is better that of their actual review; and (4) that the result of the regression analysis between the pre-review results and the actual review results on same subject on same subject areas are considerably low. This leads the researchers to suggesting the reinforcement on areas where poor performance is notable.
