Loma, Mark Dharyll A.; Cavalida, Crestil G.; Doydoy, Cathlyn May;
This study was conducted to trace those criminology graduates in the University of Mindanao Bansalan College in the Year of 2010-2015. There were 72 criminology respondents who were involved in the study who were determined using slovin’s formula. Specifically, it determines the personal profile, employment profile, and employment concerns of the criminology graduates. The study used a descriptive survey method and relative frequency to analyze data. The result showed that the majority of the graduates are males and singles, and have not pursued higher academic degrees, thus remaining as BS Criminology graduates. However, majority of them passed the criminology licensure examination and are employed with regular/permanent status earning Php25,000 and above. Further, the majority took basic military training. Moreover, these graduates took at least 1-2 years before getting employed. Respondents reveal that they accepted their job because of family factors, and salaries and benefits. Majority of them get hired in their first job and have stayed for about 3-4 years already. Additionally, human relation skills, teamwork/skills collaboration, information technology, and open-mindedness are the top for competencies learned from college that are useful in their job. It is recommended that yearly updates of the employment status of the graduates should be made to determine their status.

Students’ perception on the proposal of federalism in the Philippines
Belarmino, Lito F.; Jose, Lendell John H.; Saraum, Necodemo; Baloran, Erick T.
This study was conducted to determine the level of perception of college students on the proposal of federalism in the Philippines. The researchers aimed to determine the significant difference in the level of students’ perception on the proposal of federalism in the Philippines when analyzed according to age, course, gender and monthly income. Descriptive-survey method of research was used in this study with 85 selected college students of University of Mindanao Bansalan College and St. Mary’s College of Bansalan, Inc. Data revealed that the level of perception of college students on the proposal of federalism was high which implies a high level of awareness and understanding. Moreover, there is a significant difference in terms of division of powers as used as an indicator in students’ perception on the proposal of federalism in the Philippines when analyzed by age. This further means that age is a factor of students’ understanding on division of powers on the proposed federal system of government. On the other hand, results revealed no significant difference in the level of students’ perception on the proposal of federalism when analyzed by course, gender and monthly income. It is recommended that the national government, through its implementing agencies should exert even more effort to inform and educate the citizens about federalism. The schools should also inform and educate the students through conducting symposiums and orientation so that they will have clear insights and knowledge about the federal system.
