Student Personnel Services (SPS) are welfare amenities provided by an &#13;
educational institution geared towards harmonious relationship between &#13;
administration and students. This study on the SPS is being done to measure &#13;
the satisfaction level of students in terms of the following SPS units; Records &#13;
and Admission Center, Clinic, Cashier, Office of the Student Affairs, Guidance &#13;
Services and Testing Center, Student Accounting Office, Learning &amp; Information &#13;
Center as well as gather comments and suggestions of students for the &#13;
improvement of the SPS of UM Panabo College.&#13;
Descriptive survey was utilized in this research which targeted 10% of &#13;
the total student population per semester. Student satisfaction was assessed &#13;
using customer feedback forms. The qualitative comments provided by the &#13;
respondents were subjected to thematic analysis. The researchers compared &#13;
the survey results of all the SPS units from First Semester of SY 2015-2016 to &#13;
First Semester of SY 2017-2018. The researchers were able to gather the &#13;
following survey responses: 158 students/per month/unit for 1st semester, 2015-&#13;
2016; 155 students/per month/unit for 2nd semester, 2015-2016; 139 &#13;
students/per month/unit for 1st semester, 2016-2017; 136 students/per &#13;
month/unit for 2nd semester, 2015-2016 and 116 students/per month/unit for 1st &#13;
semester, 2017-2018.&#13;
All SPS units; the Records and Admission Center, Clinic, Cashier, Office &#13;
of the Student Affairs, Guidance Services and Testing Center, Student &#13;
Accounting Office, Learning and Information Center units obtained a Very High &#13;
satisfaction level from the SY 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018; for Staff, &#13;
Facilities and Services and by semesters, 1st and 2nd semester.&#13;

<title>Potential groundwater recharge zone map in Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS)</title>
<link>https://repository.umindanao.edu.ph/handle/123456789/1039</link>
<description>Potential groundwater recharge zone map in Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS)
Deligero, Vanzyle P.; Hilario, Liane Gwynne G.; Bandayanon, Clyde A.
Groundwater is our major source of water. This study focuses on developing a groundwater recharge zone map using Geographic Information System (GIS) software techniques and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) model. The map incorporates various influencing thematic layers sourced from local government agencies and generated through simulations in ArcGIS software. The thematic layers are Land Use/Land Cover (LULC), Geology, Soil, Slope, Lineament, Drainage, and Rainfall. These thematic layers are validated using existing data and maps from the Island Garden City of Samal-City Planning and Development Office. In generating the recharge zone map, the thematic layers are overlaid using weighted overlay analysis, and the weights are determined using the AHP method, following Saaty's 1980 approach. After generating the groundwater recharge zone map, it is crucial to validate its accuracy and reliability. This validation process involves comparing the map with the locations of existing well and employing key informant interviews. By cross-referencing with existing wells, we can assess the map's alignment with existing groundwater resources. Additionally, key informant interviews provide valuable insights from residents and barangay officials, validating the map practically. This study provides an effective and reliable groundwater recharge zone map by combining GIS software techniques, AHP model, and rigorous validation methods. The groundwater recharge zone map shows the location of groundwater resource level of potentiality that can serve as a valuable tool for water resource management and groundwater source planning in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS).

<title>UM Digos college exit survey in SY 2014-2015 : basis for action plan</title>

<description>UM Digos college exit survey in SY 2014-2015 : basis for action plan
Muyco, Riza P.; Ceballo, Emma C.
It is a dilemma of the academic institution if they could deliver their &#13;
services at a rate where students see them as satisfactory. This descriptive &#13;
study evaluates the students' experiences both inside and outside the &#13;
classroom, determine how satisfied they are with their stay in the college, and &#13;
develop an action plan to address the students' concerns. Specifically, it &#13;
determined the reasons presented by the graduating students as to why they &#13;
chose their course/program; the level of respondents' satisfaction with their &#13;
learning experiences while enrolled in their program; their perceptions on how &#13;
they were able to gain the competencies needed while enrolled in the &#13;
program; and their level of satisfaction on the student support services. This &#13;
study involved 304 graduating students randomly selected from the different &#13;
departments of the institution, where their responses were gathered through &#13;
an adopted questionnaire deployed by the Academic and Planning Services. &#13;
Results convey that students are most influenced by family, their passion for &#13;
the profession, and their employment prospects in choosing their course and &#13;
major. Simultaneously, their learning experiences are very satisfactory in &#13;
both general education and major subjects. They believed that these courses &#13;
significantly helped them to become competent, proactive, and well-rounded &#13;
individuals.&#13;
Further, students are very satisfied with their services from the &#13;
Cashier's Office, Student Accounts Office, and the Guidance and Testing &#13;
Center. Moreover, most of the respondents would like to enroll in graduate &#13;
school after graduation, either full-time or part-time. Some would like to &#13;
enhance their technical skills by enrolling in short-term courses. Lastly, they &#13;
would highly recommend UM to their friends and relatives. Generally, this &#13;
study recommends a review of the courses in the prospectus is needed.&#13;
Additionally, there shall be provision for scaffolds in science and &#13;
mathematics, exercising leadership, and conducting relevant research. An&#13;
improvement is also needed in the quality of teaching of those handling &#13;
GenEd subjects and the services of the speech and science laboratories. &#13;
More so, there is a need to upgrade laboratories and classrooms.&#13;
