<title>Teachers' performance and delivery of services as predictor of learning development amidst new normal system</title>
<link>https://repository.umindanao.edu.ph/handle/20.500.14045/1068</link>
<description>Teachers' performance and delivery of services as predictor of learning development amidst new normal system
Tedlos, Cristy Amor A.
The main purpose of this study was to determine if the teachers' performance and the delivery of services significantly predict the learning development of Grade VI students in the new normal system. The researcher employed the quantitative non-experimental design using causal effect technique with Regression Analysis. The total sample size of the study was 300 Grade VI students. Respondents were students from selected public elementary schools in Tagum City Division for the school year 2021-2022. Data analysis included Average Weighted Mean, Pearson-r, and Multiple Regression Analysis as statistical tools. The final analysis revealed that the level of teachers' performance is high, while the level of the delivery of services is moderate, and the level of learning development is also high. Moreover, it was also found that there is a significant relationship between teachers’ performance and learning development as well as between delivery of services and learning development among the respondents. Aside from that, it was also revealed that under teachers’ performance, only two indicators – communication and curriculum instruction – can significantly predict learning development. Under delivery of services, both online learning and modular learning can significantly predict learning development among the respondents. Based on the findings, it has been recommended to prioritize the development of effective feedback strategies, to provide clear guidelines, resources, and a support system for students engaging in online courses, and to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all student's contributions are acknowledged and celebrated.

<description>Influence of academic and emotional self-efficacy on students mathematics motivation in the new normal learning
Tanaid, Mary Joy N.
This study focused on the influence of academic and emotional self-efficacy on students' mathematics motivation in the new normal. The main objective of the study was to determine if Academic Self-Efficacy (ASE) and Emotional Self-Efficacy (ESE) significantly influence Student Mathematics Motivation (SMM). It also sought to describe the level of ASE, ESE, and SMM in terms of their specific indicators and determine the relationship between them. It was conducted in selected High School of Governor Generoso, Division of Davao Oriental, with 348 student respondents selected through random sampling. Data was gathered through a descriptive survey using a questionnaire, and mean, Pearson-r, and multiple regression were used for analysis. Academic Self-Efficacy, Emotional Self-Efficacy, and Student Mathematics Motivation have descriptive equivalent levels of high. The variables indicators were found to have a significant relationship and a positive correlation. All indicators of ASE and ESE significantly influence SMM except identifying and understanding emotions, which is one indicator of emotional self-efficacy. Hence, parents should assist their children at home, the teachers must create contextualized activities, and DepEd must encourage all the teachers to explore and learn more professionally, as these significantly influence students' motivation to achieve better in their mathematics subject.

<title>Lived experiences of english teachers in teaching literature under new normal</title>
<link>https://repository.umindanao.edu.ph/handle/20.500.14045/1066</link>
<description>Lived experiences of english teachers in teaching literature under new normal
Sacasan, Myrna Boyore
This study deeply examined the lived experiences of English teachers in teaching literature under the new normal education. It aimed to unveil and identify common responses from the participants’ experiences, coping mechanisms, and insights on the aforementioned phenomenon. The participants of the study were Senior High School English teachers who came from both public and private institutions in the province of Davao de Oro who were able to teach literature subjects during the phenomenon irrespective of the major of specialization. This qualitative study used a phenomenological design with seven (7) participants from in-depth interviews and another seven (7) participants from focus group discussions. During the pandemic, English teachers were confronted with different challenges in teaching the subject such as difficulty in instructing literary interpretation, unresponsive students in accomplishing literary tasks, and the inability of the students to contextualize literary interpretation, however, the participants also considered the pandemic period helpful towards the discovery of teaching strategies such as utilization of media in facilitating literary assessment whether it is authentic, collaborative, or written-based activities. The result of the study reveals that physical separation has brought a gap in interaction yet helps broaden the opportunity for English teachers to discover the advantage of technology in reaching out to students amidst the pandemic.
